Thelma and daddy

I found this record on Thelma on line even had her socical security number. I could just hear her, thoese son of 'bitches, put my SS number for everyone to see. I loved her dearly as did we all. Gilbert Willis Powell July 25, 1915 ---August 21, 1988 Thelma C. Gwaltney 431-34-4382 October 17, 1912 October 31, 2002 90 years MO 65775 (West Plains, Howell County)
Every time I saw Thelma in her later years she would ask me about daddy. The first time that happen I told her he was dead, which she knew and she burst out crying , she had forgot and when I told her she grieved anew. Ater that I always told her daddy was working when I saw her and she excepted that.
Here is when he was in his last days when he was dieing, you can see the grief on Thelma's face.
When he was dead she left our house and backed into his formosa tree. It still lives but is scared from her car and I never see that tree that I don't think of Thelma.

She loved him as much as we love our brother Clayton

When we thought he was going she came in the late night...after midnight...they were so glad to see each other..he decided not to die that night after all and they had a good visit. They even look alike in this photo.
