I boiled 5 medium sized Irish potatoes with a couple of turnips, mashed the finished pot with butter and salt. This was a good dish. It had the flavor of the turnip slightly muted with the potato body. hmmm good. I only got one serving, Kel was here and he ate half. I am going to try making the same today and then make tater cakes. I plan on adding eggs to the mashed vegetables and small amount of flour, fried to a crisp brown on both sides. I'll let you know how it goes.
