Hey Patsy!
I've been working so now I am trying to get caught up on reading blogs. I love reading your blog because you talk about things from the past...it is very interesting. I loved the stories about your sister being born & the black berry picking. Oh & your Daddy too. What a sweet memory! The black berry picture..are those near your home? They were so big & pretty! We very seldom have any here & they are few & small. My husband says it is too dry. What about the allotment lady..what is she about? Keep blogging!!!

Hey, I forgot to mention that the Yucca tree and Palo de Izote give out a white flower which is edible. It is a bit bitter, but nothing that can not be taken away.

You boil some water, add only the flowers and nothing more. Once the flower have soften, throw away the water and you are ready to use. You can make an omelette, quiche. If you are insteresting, I can find you some recipes for it.

It is considered a delicacy.

Here the tree is used as a natural fence along with poisonous plant called Chichicaste. I will take two pictures so you can see.

Great photos Patsy - my plant turned out to be a phormium and not a pretty yucca like yours.
