The weather is going to be hot again but the forecaster are calling for cooler weather the rest of the week with a chance of showers. I sure could use cool weather.
Went out to feed the chicks and found 4 ripe tomatoes. Two had been eat on by something. I gave these to the chickens. They liked them so well I ate to top of one and threw the rest to them. funny some how I have lost my taste for tomatoes.
I am living in a cave, I hung covering over my windows trying to keep the sun light at bay. I though might make it cooler in here. My air condition is running none stop from 11 until 7 at night.
some how I can take cold weather better than hot since I got old.
the more I see the silkie chickens the pretter they are.

I have noticed mine is running all the time also. I was sitting in the house yesterday with the curtain pulled and no lights on. Tim thought I was sick I told him I was after I saw the meter spinning out of control.
The silkies must like the heat as they are so pretty.
Do all those feathers keep them cool or are the hiding out, just as you are, Patsy?
