I didn't go out and check on the chickens yesterday. That was a big mistake. They were all hungry and had no feed when I opened the door this morning. I feed all of them then looked in the hen house and found two nice bantam pullet eggs which I scrambled and ate them with toast.
Fleta says she can't tell the difference from store bought eggs and fresh eggs but I can. The eggs were really good after seeing those store bought eggs for the last few weeks. They defiantly do have a better flavor.
Sam has 40 bantam hens and 30 of them are pullets. I will have fresh eggs all winter.

I thought Fleta was smarter than that. Store eggs taste rotten to me and they are pukey yellow. Nothing like the bantie eggs. They are our favorite.
