happy birthday ,siggy!

Everything is quite on the hill this morning no barking dogs and no MOTORBIKES being rived up. I guess he is so sore he can't get out of the house today.
went to feed and found 7 eggs. I guess Sam gathered the eggs early yesterday.
I pulled weeds for the chickens and they were delighted.
The sun is shinning again and this is the next to last day this month so March is going, going, gone!
The guy who killed the black kid in Florida is in a lot of trouble. They keep yelling for his blood.
No gardening to do today. Fleta said she was going to plant cucumbers and squash now. I said it was to early and she argued with me. I maintained that the seeds would rot before they came up and then I realized she would probably buy plants so if they don't get frost bite they will grow eventually.
Fleta, Betty Clayton and meself have our gardens out. Helen it is time for you to make garden.

wham bam !

I have a story to tell.
I have a neighbor who hasn't worked in a year. His wife works and she has 2 children of a previous marriage.
Income tax time is here again and as usually she gets a very large check because of low income and the 2 children. OK, she buys her husband a motor bike. tonight he got mad and rode away on his bike soon he calls home for wifey to come to his aid seems he wrecked his bike on purpose because he was mad according to what he told my son.
My son said don't tell anyone it is suppose to be a secret. It wont be a secret long he has hurt his right leg and shoulder and I suppose he will soon be going to the hospital for medical help.
I think it will be a long night next door.

planting tomorrow

George Aday has been here and gone.

Powell's dirt

Kirk Powell's son brought me dirt.

dirt

I am hoping for a pile of dirt today. The man has not been able to get to his dirt because of muddy fields. When I heard this I was encouraged because that means he is bringing real dirt out of bottom land. There are some places around here that sell "dirt" for 35 dollars a scope and I was afraid that was what he would bring. Dirt like that might not be dirt but some sort of manufactured compost.
We are supposed to get our pork Friday. The deep freeze is ready.

and you think you have troubles

Oswald’s tombstone was stolen by teenage pranksters four years after his death in 1963.
Authorities later returned it to Oswald's mother Marguerite but, afraid it would be stolen again, she didn't return it to his grave.

Instead she hid it in the crawl space of her Fort Worth home.
After her death in 1981 the house was bought by the Card family and four years later the tombstone was found by an electrician rooting around in the crawl space.
Realising what it was and fearful someone might steal it, the family moved the stone to the home of Mrs Card's sister, who later sent it to her son, Johnny Ragan.
When he died in 2008 the tombstone was left in the hands of Ragan’s wife, Holly.

Card’s son, David, is threatening legal action to reclaim the stone. He said: ’They screwed us out of it and I want it back.’
But 64-year-old Lensing maintains that Johnny Ragan's will left it in his wife's possession, thus rendering Card's claim redundant.
Lensing, who opened his museum in 2001, began exhibiting the tombstone in May, which is when Card's brother saw it featured online.

MENTAL BREAKDOWN IN THE SKIES
The Jet Blue captain’s episode is the second time this month that a member of flight crew’s mental breakdown has grounded a flight.
On March 9, an American Airlines flight attendant screamed ‘don’t blame me if we crash’ and ranted about 9/11 over the intercom during the pre-flight safety briefing.

First class passengers on the flight from Dallas-Fort Worth to Chicago had to help cabin crew restrain the attendant, who suffered from bipolar disorder.

Terrified onlookers called 911, telling police that the flight crew were plotting to crash the plane over the intercom.

The plane was turned around and taxied back to the gate where the woman was arrested.

In January 2008, an Air Canada flight attendant had to help make an emergency landing in Ireland after the co-pilot had a nervous breakdown.

The co-pilot had to be dragged from the cockpit after he started ranting and become ‘uncooperative’ in the cockpit.

He was sedated by doctors onboard the flight from Toronto to London, while the hostess who held a commercial pilot’s license took the co-pilot’s seat and helped land the plane at Shannon airport in Ireland.

I think someone is putting something in their coffee.

a killing in Flordia

The black teenager in Florida killed by a community watch man named Zimmerman. Zimmerman claims he was in fear for his life and he shot to death Trayvon Martin .
Lets consider the facts that are known for certain. Zimmerman pursued the teen . Trayvon Marton was 17 years old and weight 140 pounds. Zimmerman weighs 175 pounds. Zimmerman had a gun and the teen had a bag of candy. Zimmerman claims he had a broken nose and a gash on his hear from the attack none of which can be proved because he has been in hiding every since the deed was done.
Now I ask you do you believe that crap?
Zimmerman claims he didn't kill the teen because he was black. Oh OK, he killed him because he had a gun and could.
These are the known facts. Zimmerman pursues the teenager until he cornered him. Zimmerman said he was tired of these GOONS or Coons which ever you hear getting away. Martin is dead. What do you think happen.

farmer

Betty ask if I knew about daddy growing tomatoes as a money crop.
short answer is no. I remember going to the field in the wagon and I suppose mama was trying to help pick tomatoes.
I know because daddy told me this story. He found 2 baby cotton tail rabbits and he gave them to Richard and me to play with while mama and him picked tomatoes. All at once daddy said I started crying and he went to the wagon to see what was wrong. He said I was crying "Richard hammered my rabbit." Dad had a hammer in the wagon and Richard took the hammer and killed my rabbit.
I saw little of the work in the fields because mama's job was at the house in daddy's eyes and we belonged with mama.
I remember daddy coming home driving his team but didn't know anything about his work in the field.
Mama said one time the reason daddy went to California to find work was because the tomato crop failed. I do remember him being gone and aunt Thelma stayed with us some of the time and this was when Tommy Lou was a baby so the date can be determined by Tommy Lou's birthday.Mama said daddy came home from California because he was home sick. After that he was drafted and went to war and was stationed at first in California, then Hawaii there he boarded a ship and went to Iwo Jima. I know that he was stationed at 29 palms in California. I know he was close enough to Aunt Tee that he hick hiked to see her while in California while at 29 palms.
They let him come home on furlow before shipping out and he gave us the measles. He got sick on the way back and had to be taken off the train and put in the hospital.
I know he raised corn while we lived at carrollton because I remember him bring oorn from the field for us to eat. I think daddy was a farmer at heart and wasn't happy any where else.

Game change

I watched the movie game change and I was speechless. No matter how bad we thought Palin was we didn't see but the tip of the ice burg . Of course John McCain says it is not the true picture and who could blame him, a man who named as his running mate, a person who wasn't fit for dog catcher for the vice president should keep his mouth shut about what he was willing to do to be president.
There is no doubt he didn't care that if he died we would be stuck with the hockey mom from Alaska.

I have thought it possible that Dick Cheney might not have a heart with all the terrible things he has been responsible for but as of now he has a heart even if it's not his.
By NBC News, msnbc.com and news services

Updated at 8:23 p.m. ET: Former Vice President Dick Cheney was recovering Saturday at a Virginia hospital after receiving a heart transplant, his office said.

Cheney was in the Intensive Care Unit of Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, his office said.

Cheney, 71, who served as vice president in the George W. Bush administration, has had a long history of heart trouble and has been on the cardiac transplant list for more than 20 months.

"Although the former Vice President and his family do not know the identity of the donor, they will be forever grateful for this lifesaving gift," aide Kara Ahern said in a written statement that was authenticated by several close associates of the former vice president.

sunday, 26 eggs today

Sammy is going to mow Tony's yard. Tony's hired him to do his mowing in the yard. I am sure Tony just did it to give Sammy something to do . Tony thinks Sammy should move around more than he does.
We Had a dead red hen this morning Sammy has brought in some kind of diease and it kills some of the hens. others just get puny and finally get over it. It works like they have a cold and they have trouble breathing. I think he has it in the flock and every time he brings in new chickens they are exposed and he will lose a hen or two over time from this diease what ever it is.
26 eggs yesterday. Sammy went to the sale and didn't gather the eggs and I went to feed and there were 26 eggs some may have been laid this morning. Sammy isn't a very good chicken farmer.
I have been reading and I think the chickens have Mycoplasmas.

The old house

The house we lived in when we first moved to the farm on dry creek was just a shack, 4 room . A front room and a small room behind that was our kitchen. the porch opened into the kitchen. one small room no bigger than room for one bed was where I slept.
Hosea Leathers lived in that house until his wife died. I suppose he built the house. The other bed room was larger and was off the front room. This was mama and daddy bed room and I suppose Richard and Clayton must have slept in that room also.
The walls had been papered with newspapers and I would lay in bed and read the newspapers. most were dated in the 1920's.
We used coil oil lamps for light and mama cooked on a coil oil stove. She had two cook stoves while we lived there because the coil oil ran down a pipe to the burners , I think there were 3 burners and there was a oven anyway the reason mama got a new stove was she took a rag and tied it on a long stiff piece of wire and ran it down the pipe to get the suet out of the pipe and then the stove would work better. Mama lost the rag in the pipe and no amount of poking and prodding would get the rag out. Daddy had to buy a new stove.
We had a rickety front porch that was at least 6 feet off the ground and the summer after fleta was born my bed was moved out there because the back bed room was hot as hades. I have marveled over the years as to how I managed to keep Fleta and my self from rolling off the bed and down off the porch since the porch was just barely big enough for the bed.
The spring would go dry in hot dry weather and then we had to haul our water from a spring at the creek. That is how mama broke her ankle crossing the creek with two pails of water walking on the slick rocks.
When she fell she told Richard to go get Mr. Morris and he and Lizzy managed to get mama up the dirt bank to our car. Lizzy and Hugh took mama and Clayton to the house and we walked. Lois walked with us. It seems like we stayed with grandma and grandpa Powell for a few days and after a week Richard and I came back home. Clayton being the youngest had stayed with mama and daddy.
Mama had her ankle in a cast for a year, the ankle never healed right and the doctor re broke it twice. Daddy said mama would pass out when he broke the ankle and doctor wanted to do it a third time but daddy said enough is enough and that was that.
Mama did her house work by putting her knee in a kitchen chair and shoving it around to do her cooking and what work she had to do. I think it was 1947 when she broke her ankle. She would have been about 26 or 27 years old and she hopped on that leg for the rest of her days.
The old house was built out of boards and never seen paint or a finish of any sort. The truth is the barn was a better place to live that that house. Daddy built the house where Clayton live now in 1950 I think Betty was born in that house and fleta was born in the old house.
I guess it took everything daddy could rack and scrape to buy the windows and doors for the house. One day when mama went back to the old house to wash cloths Richard was teasing Clayton and Clayton was chasing Richard with a piece of 2 by 4 and he threw it at Richard in the back bed room . Richard dodged and the chunk went threw the new window. daddy whipped all 3 of us and I felt and still feel this was unfair because Richard caused the trouble by teasing Clayton and beside I felt Richard should not have dodged the chunk of wood.
The way I remember it most of the whippings I got was Richards fault.
In those years Richard and I fought all the time and I believe it was because daddy favored Richard because he was the SON. We never fought when we lived at Denver and I do think Daddy caused mine and Richards troubles.
I will say that I was not happy during the years from the time I was 11 year old until I was grown. I finally grew up and realized that Being a girl was OK and I finally stopped trying to find favor with daddy and stopped competing with Richard for daddy's attention.
I have often wondered how Clayton felt about daddy and Richard and if he felt short changed like I did. I also wonder now just how much this effected Richard's life.

tomatoes and guineas

I have tomato seeds up. I don't remember getting seeds to come up so fast.
The guineas are males. I only have one female and if she lays and I can find her nest I am going to try setting some guineas eggs under one of my silkie hens if one is broody. I have read that silkie hens are the best mothers there is going.
They are suppose to bring me dirt Monday. I guess I will have to hire the neighbor boy to plant the seeds because I can barely walk. I have pains shooting from my left knee to my hip and when it hits my toes curl up wards. I never had such pain.

cloudy but not raining

I hadn't been out to the chickens in 3 or 4 days because of the rain. It is cloudy but no rain so I went to pull some greeny for the chickens and they were glad to see me. They were yelling as I got near the pen, "here she comes and she has greeny in her hand!"

house at Carrollton

The house we lived in at carrolLton. Great grandfather Richard Powell lived in this house before they went to Oklahoma.
Mama took Richard and went down there one day and took this photo. I wasn't present that day. I was in school.
I remember living there.Daddy had cattle and horses. One horse was named John and another was Maud. John was hard to catch and some times daddy had to chase him all over the country side. He would come to a fence and jump over and keep going.
He had a team of mules at one time while we lived there I remember being in the lane when daddy turned them loose one day and here they come running down the lane. Daddy shouted crawl under the fence and I did and was not trampled under their hooves.
When we went to the store at carrollton owned by Hugh Morris we walked.
I remember mama buying us a candy bar and dividing in between me and Richard.
Daddy bought a car and I really was happy about that then he sold it and almost broke my heart. I think he sold it because he was going into the navy.
Grandpa Powell had a car but for the life of me during those years in Denver I don't remember grandpa Gaddy having a car during those years. I take that back I remember riding to take Helen and beans Garrison to cricket to get on the train . I don't remember seeing a car parked around the store or the house at Denver so maybe he borrowed a car that time.

onion flavored chickens and bitter weed milk

I went to Powell's new hardware yesterday and I went a little wild on buying garden supplies. I even bought a few potatoes to plant. I will need to get my dirt pile hauled in and then try to plant every thing.
I may have to hire the neighbor boy to help me but I am going to try to do it my self because I love playing in the dirt.
I remember one time daddy was planting garden and Clayton was helping. Clayton like macaroni and daddy told him to go tell mama to send some macaroni out to plant. Clayton went and mama refused to give him the macaroni and Clayton was really mad. he was about 5 or 6 years old at the time.
One summer the tomatoes were ripe and before going to work daddy assigned me the job of keeping the chickens out of the tomatoes. I chased one old hen out several times and she would come sneaking back to get a ripe tomato. I lost my temper and picked up a rock and threw it at her. Wham! I hit her and knocked her out. I went to the house crying, "Mama I have killed the old red hen." after a while she got up and wallowed off. That was the last time she went into the garden that day.
One summer we hung our onions in bunches in the old house when we harvested them and the following spring daddy bought some baby chicks. He assigned me the job of taking care of them , perhaps that is why I like to raise chickens, any way about the time they were getting to the age to fry the old onions still hanging in the room where we raised the chicks began to fall and the young chickens devoured them with gusto. When we butchered some of the young roosters they had a slight onion flavor .
I picked goose berries and black berries for mama to make cobbles with. I liked picking the black berries because it freed me from crying babies. I wagged Clayton, Fleta and Betty on my hip more than mama did I think.
Me and Richard went to the barn with daddy to run the cows in to milk and before long he put us to milking cows. I don't know how old we were but I know we were milking our own cows while we were going to school at coin which would have made Richard 8 or so and me 9 years old.I liked milking cows and I always liked cows, nothing smells better to me than a bunch of cows with the green grass smell in the spring of the year.
Much of our food was from the cows, milk and cream was much of our diet. I remember in the 50's when the dry years arrived our cows ate bitter weeds and the milk had a bitter taste. We drank it any way because we had no choice and I am sure the cows had no choice either.
We never had many laying hens and we never feed them. They had to scratch for their food in the barn yard and weed patches. My job was to hunt the hen nest and I spent time in the summer listing for cackling hens.
We feed the cows cotton seed meal and Clayton was 3 or 4 he started going in the barn and eating it. Daddy locked the barn door and the barn gate to keep him out of the cow feed, I guess it wasn't the idea baby food. One day Clayton attempted to craw under the big old gate and got stuck. I heard him crying and went to see , there he was with his face down in the muddy cow lot unable to go forward and to determined to go backwards.
Persimmons were devoured in the fall and any thing else we found to eat. I don't think we had enough food in those years because I remember being hunger most of the time.

into the deep dark hole

I was in the bed and my mind was clicking so I got up. I was thinking about when we first moved on the farm on dry creek. Then I got to thinking that if I live until may 3, which is right around the corner I will have lived longer than mama or daddy did so I figured their age when they died. Daddy lived 73 years and 1 month lacking 4 days. Mama lived 71 years and 7 months and 12 days.
If I live until may 3, which is 43 days from now I will be 74 years old so I have lived 9 months longer than daddy lived as of now.
When we moved to the farm after daddy got out of the Navy I believe it must have been late October, 1945 we lived in an old house that was built in front of a cave which was our water supply. I was scared to go into that cave because of snakes, copper head snakes no less.
The pipe for the water went back and down into this room and some times the pipe would get knocked off the pipe that came out of the rocks when this happen Richard and me would have to take a Lantern and climb over these big rocks that looked like they had fallen from the ceiling of the cave down into the dark with only the lantern to see by which Richard always carried and tried to leave me in the dark.
when we got down to the bottom there was a Rickey old ladder and Richard would give me the Lantern to hold while he climbed the ladder and hooked the pipe back to the pipe coming out of the rock wall. I was scared to dead all this time and telling Richard to hurry. I think he moved slow just to scare me more.
when he climbed down the ladder he would take the Lantern back and climb out of the deep with me scrambling to keep up. The boy would put on some speed to try leaving me behind.
We went into the cave because daddy told us too and I assure you I never went back into that cave after it wasn't necessary to get water. I know what terror is and it is in that cave.
When you were at the back of the cave there was a rock wall which was about 10 foot high and someone years before our time had drove a pipe into the rock at the top of the wall. You could hear water falling behind that wall and there is no way to figure how much water is behind the rock wall. I ask daddy once in later years why he hadn't set a dynamite charge and blown thro' the wall which he could have done because he had used dynamite. Daddy said he didn't know how much water would come out of the cave and what would he say to his neighbors if a stream of water came out the size of the mouth of the cave? I thought about that awhile and told him perhaps he wouldn't have any neighbors after the water went down dry creek.
We found arrow heads in the plowed ground along dry creek and I have always thought Indians lived in the cave during their day.
I heard one story about the first settler on our land being killed by Indians while they were trying to steal his horses. I also was told that dry creek was called "Jumping rabbit creek" by the Indians. This no doubt was referring to the cotton tail rabbits which was along the creek.

pills

Helen said I had night mares because of the pain pills, My legs were hurting so bad when I awoke how do you think I had pain pills in my system. Maybe pain pills make Helen have night mares but the only night mares I have about pills is trying to get the doctor to let me have them.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2012/03/16/executive-order-national-defense-resources-preparedness

There are people around this country going absolutely ape of this new National defence order just signed by President Obama this past Friday.
EXECUTIVE ORDER

NATIONAL DEFENSE RESOURCES PREPAREDNESS
This lays out the actions that can be taken by the president in the event of a national emergency . In November 1988 a document was first signed by the president at that time, I believe it was President Bush and then in 1994 another was issued by Clinton and now Obama has issued another.
This order stated who will do what in a emergency and martial law is declared. I felt that this was a dangerous thing in 1988 when the order was first printed but most people took little notice of it now when Obama has come up with his, people are going crazy.
Could it be because he is dark skinned? The most changes are about home land security Secretary and what home land security role would be in the event of martial.
I think this document is no better or worse than the 1988 document signed by President Bush or the 1994 executive order also signed by Clinton.
I can't remember a President being so feared or hated as this president is and I am almost sure it has more to do with the color of his skin than any thing he has said or done.
KY3 our TV station at Springfield Mo. almost always refers to Obama as Mr. Obama and I have heard them talk in the same sentence and refer to past president Bush as president Bush while referring to the the current President calling him Mr. Obama.

up early

I am up early and the reason is I was having night mares and leg pain. I was glad to wake up and realize I was only dreaming.
Today I will try to go to town if my wound holds off with the flood.

Boer Goats

for Fleta

Old photo of Powell cousins

I am posting this for Virginia in case she hasn't seen it.
starting on the left hand side Winnie Jo, Patsy holding Virginia lea who is trying to make a get away ,Richard ,Donnie and Frankie. grandpa Powell with his back to the camera over by the tree.
grandma Powell on the porch having lost her head and aunt Betty in the white dress. I can't see who else.
It is strange how our memory serves us.
I remember aunt Thelma taking the picture and calling out "hold her pat."so I grabbed Virginia's foot but I am not absolute that it is Virginia it maybe Tommy Lou. I have written Virginia in 2006 and I think my memory was better then.
another warm day in the Ozarks.
Sammy is mowing the yard above the trailer between us and the neighbors.
Fleta is going to Louisiana next week to see the son, George is going with her.
Tony has his daughter here with her husband and the BABY. His wife and Tony went to Branson to buy Baby some cloths.
I am going to go buy more onion sets, lettuce, radishes and turnip seed tomorrow since Tony said Powell had all the seeds that the Bonams hardware used to carry. I get enough seeds to furnish any child of mine that comes by and will promise to plant .
I just might buy a few seed potatoes to plant since I will have all that loose dirt to plant them in. New home grown potatoes would taste really good.

saturday saint pat's day

Saturday morning and with have clouds. The temperature is 59 degrees and reaching for 79 degrees before the day is finished.
If I was a saint today would be my day as it is tater planting day for the Irish.
St. Patrick: Taken Prisoner By Irish Raiders

It is known that St. Patrick was born in Britain to wealthy parents near the end of the fourth century. He is believed to have died on March 17, around 460 A.D. Although his father was a Christian deacon, it has been suggested that he probably took on the role because of tax incentives and there is no evidence that Patrick came from a particularly religious family. At the age of 16, Patrick was taken prisoner by a group of Irish raiders who were attacking his family's estate. They transported him to Ireland where he spent six years in captivity. (There is some dispute over where this captivity took place. Although many believe he was taken to live in Mount Slemish in County Antrim, it is more likely that he was held in County Mayo near Killala.) During this time, he worked as a shepherd, outdoors and away from people. Lonely and afraid, he turned to his religion for solace, becoming a devout Christian. (It is also believed that Patrick first began to dream of converting the Irish people to Christianity during his captivity.)
St. Patrick: Guided By Visions

After more than six years as a prisoner, Patrick escaped. According to his writing, a voice—which he believed to be God's—spoke to him in a dream, telling him it was time to leave Ireland.

To do so, Patrick walked nearly 200 miles from County Mayo, where it is believed he was held, to the Irish coast. After escaping to Britain, Patrick reported that he experienced a second revelation—an angel in a dream tells him to return to Ireland as a missionary. Soon after, Patrick began religious training, a course of study that lasted more than 15 years. After his ordination as a priest, he was sent to Ireland with a dual mission: to minister to Christians already living in Ireland and to begin to convert the Irish. (Interestingly, this mission contradicts the widely held notion that Patrick introduced Christianity to Ireland.)

New deep freeze

I sent Sammy to get a deep freeze and he got one as well as a new microwave. I wasn't able to go along with him.

friday morning

Another warm morning. Sammy's red rooster was dead in the hen house this morning. He seemed fine yesterday but I rolled him around looking for wounds and couldn't see any so i guess he just died.
That means SAM will have to buy another rooster if he wants to sell setting eggs.
The silkie rooster will like the fact he is gone.
I was going to go buy a deep freeze but I am not able so maybe Sam will go by him self if not it will have to wait.
I had 3 tires down where I want the dirt spread and the neighbor boy moved them yesterday. so I am ready for the dirt man to come.
&9 degrees for a high according to those in the know and 59 for a low. unbelievable weather for march 16.I bought a few onions yesterday at walmart to set out. The hardware where I usually buy them in the bulk is closed and I was afraid Powell might not have them. I got red, white and yellow in packages for 1.58 each sort of high but better than not having any.

Please deliver us from this fool

I think Rick Santorum is about the dumbest fellow ever to run for president and I do remember Dan Quail.
Santorum went to poerto Rico to get their votes and he said...According to the New York Daily News, Rick Santorum made some controversial and offensive comments about Puerto Ricans during a Wednesday interview with San Juan newspaper El Vocero, in which he stated that if Puerto Rico wants to be a state, it has to be an English speaking state.

“As in any other state, you have to comply with this and any federal law. And that is that English has to be the main language. There are other states with more than one language as is the case in Hawaii, but to be a state in the United States, English has to be the main language.”

This fool thinks there is a federal that says english is the offical language of the United States.

roosters on the rail

I got 2 bantam eggs yesterday and 9 big eggs. I don't know what is wrong with the bantams. I wonder if a snake may have been having breakfast but for 4 days in a row?
Billy See is 30 now. old as the hills.
i have some dirt coming next week and fleta has promised George will bring his tractor and spread it for me. I don't know if George has been told or not.
nurse day and I will be glad to see her I am out of supplies and had to resort to cutting baby diaper for pads. My wound started flowing real hard again yesterday.

Happy 30th Billy boy!

SANTORUM WINS IN THE BIBLE BELT

The bantams all have red combs. I only got 3 bantam eggs this morning.

Fleta has the grandson for a couple of days. I know he is happy.

I ordered SAM some chicks this morning. he can raise them and then I will take back what I want.

I am going to buy a deep freeze. I know we wont have room for the pig and they are going to market the 25 of March.

I can get one at home depot. I an get a small one for 229 dollars and an up right one for 329 dollars. I can't make up my mind as to which one I want.

Mississippi and Alabama went to Rick Santorum and that hurt Romney . It is like I said the Bible belt will go against Romney because of his religion. The news media is saying he isn't conservation enough but I still maintain it is his religion.

Winne Jo our Democrat, the rest of us talk Democrat but Winnie really is a Democrat, she is going to work for Obama. She said she wouldn't but I knew she would. Winnie is like Bill Maher, he said he had criticized Obama but he had to back him cause the other guy could win and that was unthinkable. So our theme is 'BETTER HIM THAN THEM'.

Bill gave Obama a million dollars but Winnie don't you go that far.

sun shine and 75 degrees today

I got 6 RIR eggs this morning and only 5 bantam eggs. I guess the rain really bothers the bantams. They can get in the house but the cooler weather must hurt them hence they laid fewer eggs.
I slept most of the day yesterday because of the rain.
The sun is shinning today and the temperature is suppose to get up to 75 degrees. it is 54 now at 8:44.

CRAZY IS AS CRAZY DOES

There are people shouting from the roof tops that Andrew Breitbart was murdered by the CIA at the orders of Obama.
It is true Breitbart said that on March 1st he was going to vet Obama and his followers are yelling murder now but I have a different take on this problem.
I THINK BREITBART KILLED HIMSELF ON MARCH FIRST IN THE HOPES THAT OBAMA WOULD BE BLAMED AND WOULDS LOOSE THE ELECTION.
OK, YOU CAN SAY I AM CRAZY BUT I AM NOT ANY CRAZIER THAN THE ONES WHO ARE SAYING THE CIA KILLED BREITBART! SO THERE.
By now anyone who hasn’t been living under a rock has heard the conspiracy theory that Breitbart was assassinated. There is absolutely no hard evidence thus far that this is true. There are, however, odd oddities, motive, and precedence, but no smoking CIA heart attack gun or eyewitness account of suspicious activity leading us to believe there was foul play. Again, there is merely the aforementioned and one big fat coincidence – March 1st. The day Breitbart died and the day he promised to release a video that would “destroy Barack Obama” according radio personality Erich “Mancow” Muller with whom he was purportedly in regular contact.

bang you are dead

NO PISSING ON THE DEAD! Remember the men peeing on the dead and the big up roar? This time the soldier just killed them.
Sixteen innocent Afghan civilians - including nine
children - were killed by a U.S. soldier in the Panjwai district early this
morning after he opened fire after suffering a 'mental breakdown.' After
entering three homes and killing his victims, the U.S service member is said to
have surrendered to U.S. military authorities.

Michigan couple and 4 month old son has been missing for a month.'Timothy and Sabrina are very private people and left their home and business with out taking anything and the family was concerned now Mr. Medsker has called his sister
it seems the media pressure made them come forward. They said that they're fine
and that they don't want to have any more communication.' he said. seems Mr. Medsker called his sister and said they are fine but don't want any more contact with anyone.
The police said they had dropped their investigation since Mr. Medsker said on the phone to his sister everything is OK !You have to be kidding, he is OK but is the wife and baby OK? I would want to see them in the flesh with out Mr. Medsker present to be sure. They maybe in a shallow grave some where.

saturday and bakery goods

Good morning, frosty here. Saturday morning and the sun is shinning.
I have had a hard time since Thursday morning. My wound was draining full speed ahead after 36 hours it finally slowed down. It is amazing the things that make you feel glad. It stopped at 6 o'clock last night. I had been changing the bandages ever 15 minutes for 36 hours and my skin was on fire but I am better now.
I suppose Sammy will be off to Huntiville today to the sale.
I saw the neighbor down the hill forsythia was in full bloom. Sammy said he saw dogwood in bloom yesterday.
3 of my red hens had laid all ready when I went to feed.
I had never seen the movie "bodyguard" with Whitney Huston in it so I thought I would be on the look out for it and last night they had it on the biology channel so I watched it. I didn't think it was all that great of a movie.
Fleta came by and got her rugs yesterday. She was going to pick up the red haired kids. I gave her the bogon caps I had bought and she said they were just what the red heads would need next winter. She would put them away for future use since the children tended to Loose every thing.
Sammy made a trip to Harrison and bought cakes, cookies and bread at a bakery Donnie told him about, His plan was to sell most of it at the sale but I got on the phone and gave a lot of it away. He still has several boxes of cakes but every thing else is gone. Kelly's step son took the bread and Sammy was amazed they wanted the bread. I told him bread was over 2 dollars a loaf and a lot of people didn't have bread to eat every day like we did. He said it was in shopping carts, bread and boxes of cakes like hostage cakes for 6 dollars a shopping cart. I don't suppose it was that way every day but they hit it at a good time I think.
A shopping cart of bread at 6 dollars is a real bargain not counting all those cakes and pies. The pies were fruit pies like we buy in the store for 75 cents to a dollar. Sammy had a bag with probably 15 fruit pies . He bought 2 carts which was 12 dollars and Kelly, Jamie and we have a lot of bakery good in the frig plus bread. He told Kelly he was going to feed the bread to the chickens but when I went out this morning there was no bread left. I guess Kelly cleaned him out on the way to the truck. LOL
